In our RE lesson this afternoon we have started to think about our world and how wonderful it is. We created a list and pictures of wonderful things around our school and in the world around us.

Victorian Live Lesson
This morning we are doing a live English lesson about the Victorians. We will be comparing life in Victorian times and our lives now.

In English today we are finding the features of non-chronological reports. We worked together to highlight what we thought were the features of a non-chronological report. We then compared each groups and found that they all had a title, introduction, sub-headings, information, an image or…
Division Treasure Hunt
In maths this morning we have had a division treasure hunt. We calculated some divisions and then hunted around the classroom to match our answers to a letter.
Acting Out Adverbs
We tried a bit of acting today!! After a SPAG lesson on adverbs we finished off by acting out a play with our friends and practised..... speaking angrily, whispering quietly, slithering silently etc.
There were some Oscar winning performances!!!
Roman Roads
This afternoon we have made cross sections of roman roads. We began by drawing and labelling a diagram in our topic books and then creating an edible roman road in a cup.
Verb, person sentences
This morning we have been learning how to write a 'Verb, person' sentence.
Healthy Lifestyles
This afternoon we have had a visit from Mrs Mason. She talked to us about how we can live a healthy lifestyle including a healthy balanced diet, exercise and oral hygiene. The children listened and joined in with the discussions really well.
Horrid Characters
This morning we have been creating our own characters for the Horrid Henry stories. We made sure our character names were alliterative, just like in the story.
Black History Month
October is Black History Month. We have watched a Newsround report this morning and talked about racism.
