Reception and Year 1 children spent an hour this afternoon getting to know each other and working together on a wide range of activities. It was great to see them mixing and getting on so well.

A week of inspirational poetry
After our successful learning using Wordsworth's 'Daffodil' poem we have now moved our attention to Emily Dickinson's poem 'Hope'. To enable the children to show their knowledge of figurative language I have asked the children to recreate Dickinson's poem as a comic strip. I can't wait to share…

Here is our first display in the hall. We used oil pastels to create our portrait in the style Picasso. Doesn't it look fabulous?
